🥾 We are walking the last kilometers to reach Haeinsa Temple—one of the oldest on the Korean Peninsula—along the river running down the slopes of Mount Gaya. 🌸 This stunning plum tree is blooming in front of the spectacular 300-year-old Gakhwangjeon Hall, the largest wooden Buddha Hall in Korea here at Hwaeomsa Temple. 🌸 Even in the rain, the cherry blossoms are spectacular!! 🌸 It looks like we are intercepting the blossom season here in South Korea! 😍 Seoraksan National Park is definitely one of Korea’s most beautiful national parks. 🇰🇷 Back to one of our favorite temple stays in South Korea after visiting it in late 2024. We are Naksansa temple along the east coast of the peninsula, and this stay focuses on meditation.
