On the temple grounds of Wat Pra Mahatat in the centre of Ayutthaya, an unusual scene can be witnessed: a multi-century-old Buddha head sculpted out of stone that got picked up by a strangler tree. Stone and roots entangled, it has created this serene piece of natural art.
