Here at the public Pier 15 on the East River Waterfront, a businessman takes a break and enjoys the sun on the top floor of the observation deck. The pier provides great views on the surrounding piers, the skyline of Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan. Founded in 1625 the area went through a lot of changes, from trade post to harbour to being occupied, burnt down, restored and abandoned. Today a public space has been designed for anyone to enjoy its surroundings and take a break from a stroll through this historical part of New York City.
