Photo of the day: The old Gavle, Sweden

The Old Gavle could be salvaged from demolition during the 1960’s. Today, about 60 properties remain, showcasing a typical Swedish street grid of the 17th century and the way of building of the 18th century. They were competely renovated to modern standards, conserving the character of their older façades.
