Guatemala is a mountainous country with a tropical climate, tempered by the altitude. It offers almost two dozens different ecosystems, making it a very varied country to explore.
Semuc Champey is one of these ecosystems: lost in the center of the country, it is definitely worth the long hours in chicken buses to reach these crystal-clear waters flowing from one limestone pool into the next and bordered by steep cliffs covered in a lush vegetation inhabited by howler monkeys and others.
