The white-fronted parrot, known scientifically as the Amazona albifrons is a noisy bird which can imitate over a 30 different sounds. Often in flocks of more than 20 birds, these parrots can live up to 40 years. Living all across Central America, we have seen them many times in Mexico, Guatemala and Nicaragua but it was on this hike in Costa Rica that we could observe them in the beautiful evening sun.
