The most photographed waterfall of Costa Rica

If you have been planning your trip through Central America with the best-selling Lonely Planet guide, this waterfall may look very familiar. Indeed, it is featured on its 2013-edition cover.

The 70-metre-high waterfall appears through the dense jungle. Its foot can be reached after a steep descent to uncover a deep pool into which the water violently smashes into. The ultimate experience is swimming by the roaring waterfall and trying to fight the incredibly strong current.
