Walking home after attending mass at church on New Year’s day, these women dressed in traditional Guatemalan clothes pass by a lonely woman brooming her doorstep. She is trying to  get rid of the leftovers from the hundreds of burned fireworks which traditionally lit up the city all through the last night of the year in Quetzaltenango, and all of Guatemala.
